5 Brookside Rd closed today. An architecturally significant Mid Century Modern home that turned out to be a home of special significance to me as well. I scouted it out and helped my friend, Jimmy, purchase it a few years ago and was watching from the sidelines as he did a total renovation. You may remember a few blog posts about the progress of the renovation.

I really connected with this house and had hoped Jimmy might settle in and enjoy his beautiful renovation for a bit longer but he decided it was time to move on.

We listed the house in December and launched it off with a broker open house and a holiday neighborhood open house the first week. We received lots of complimentary feedback on the renovation and marketing of the home and connected with some wonderful neighbors – the original architect’s wife even honored us by dropping in. As you might expect we received an offer in the first few days and had many interested buyers from far and near.

After spending a lot of time at 5 Brookside Road I will miss it. It’s a very special house and I wish it all the best as it heads into its next chapter.  Cheers and congratulations to my friend, Jimmy!
