Oak Forest is one of my favorite neighborhoods. It is a great possibility if you are in the market for a mid-century home. As a matter of fact you won’t find much of anything BUT mid-century, ranch style homes in Oak Forest. The first homes were constructed in the mid 1950’s and the development continued through the late 1960’s. Oak Forest is a picturesque neighborhood with a gentle topography, mature trees and nicely landscaped lawns. It’s a great walking neighborhood and a convenient drive to everything.
